Quick One While I’m at a WiFi Spot
We get to see a lot of you in less than a week. That’s awesome. Oh, and three days ago I got to baptize Sandra.
That’s all. Talk to you later.

Our ability to speak via the internet will be sparse and varied this coming week and possibly until we return to Thailand. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Darn, unforeseeable future.
I must apologize. A whole lot has happened in the last few days, and I have (once again) had absolutely no time to talk about any of it. But now I’m waiting at Pantip Plaza, Chiang Mai’s computer mall, while one of Im Jai’s computers gets fixed. I’ve got no other errands left, I’ve eaten lunch, and I’ve discovered that they have free internet on the 4th floor of said Plaza. Sweet.
Much of the drama includes dogs. We sort of adopted a dog - a stray that stayed at our house and got fed by us or the neighbors periodically. We call him Thorn. Of course the day after we decided to take him with us to our new house, he got into a fight with another dog and lost… bad. So that’s part of the dog drama.
The rest of the dog drama is the Bauer’s dog. At the moment we and all our stuff are in our new house, along with a lot of the Bauer’s stuff because they have not fully moved out yet. They are also currently out of the country on vacation. So we’re dog-sitting for them again. No sooner had they left (seriously) when one of their dogs starts freaking out. We thought it was having a seizure. Later we thought it was rabies as we were taking it to the animal hospital. The next morning they told us the poor animal died and may have eaten poison or something. We buried the dog in the backyard of the Bauer’s new house. The Bauer’s are gracious people, but that was rough on everybody.
The rest of the (non-dog) drama, for me anyway, was all at Im Jai. Among other things, I’m trying to get all computer set-up stuff finished before we leave for the States. So I’ve been fixing computers, plugging them in, cleaning them, buying them, taking them in to get fixed because they didn’t work right away… Of course, that’s why I’m here at Pantip now. Really, at Im Jai, there’s never a drama-less moment.
So there’s your mini-update. The newsletter’s not out yet, but it will be soon. Oh, and we’ll be in the States from August 15th to September 8th or so. We’ll be in San Diego from about August 20th to September 1st or 2nd, I think. The rest of the time we’ll be in or around Orange County (sorry, no Nor Cal visit this time).
