Party of Six
In the last newsletter, I said that we started out this journey as a family of three.
At the beginning of March, we suddenly became the caretakers of a fourth member of the family.
Although it has never been officially announced here, in July we will have a fifth member to the family. Though in truth, Prang is already a full member of our growing clan.
And then, probably around December, we will become a family of six. The Heine family has long been known for growing through unofficial, non-biological family members, but this time we’re going to break that tradition a little bit. This new family member will be a Heine in name as well. Official. Legal. Biological.
Wait! Wait! I am no rocketscientist/sherlockholmes/jeanlucpicard/hansolo/neo/gandalf…but are you saying what I think you are saying, and if so, is there any way that you guys could make me any happier? well..I could go for a Sunday afternoon at your house–hot-tub–games–dinner–like old times….but I seriously digress….WOW…God does stuff.

Congratulations, guys!!! Very exciting news. How is Cindy feeling? I don’t know if you guys have heard that Duke and I are expecting our own little biological expansion, due on Halloween. I’m 12 weeks now and over the worst of the morning sickness. Yeah!

Alyssa can’t wait to have a first cousin (finally!), and of course, Panus and I are thrilled to be a real aunt and uncle for the first time (as opposed to being Auntie Di and Uncle Panus to all our friends’ kids). We are especially excited because we will be there to see both 2nd trimester pregnant Cindy in California in late August/early September and the newest little Heine in Thailand late December/early January!
Oh, and congrats to Sean and Prang too!

I KNEW IT!!! When you said you had more important news you couldn’t share yet, I just knew you were expecting your firstborn child! Congratulations!!! I’m so excited for you! I can’t wait to hear details on pregnancy. You’ll be (are) wonderful parents. Praise God!
And the proud Heine Patriarch rolls in saying, “keep those little biological Heine’s coming!!!!!” I love them all - oh, and their parents too ;-)
