A Great Recipe Site
March 31st, 2008In case you haven’t heard, the food in Japan is out of this world. But sometimes, I find myself longing for some favorites from back home. In particular, I really miss good Mexican and good Pizza.
After Googling around a bit, I happened upon the recipe site from one of my old blog buddy’s sites, Simply Recipes. I had forgotten how much good stuff Elise has there and I spent quite awhile browsing through an amazing collection of pizzas, tortillas, sandwiches and more. I highly recommend it.

Hi Ray,
Wow, we’re still blogging! I’ve been so busy with cooking though no time for blogging anything else. Say hello to Japan for me, and have a sakura mochi for me too while you’re at it. As much as I do completely love Japanese food, I too missed Mexican food and pizza when I lived there. They had pizza, but put weird stuff on it like sardines and natto. I went to a Mexican restaurant once in Tokyo but the tacos were all of 3 inches long and outrageously expensive.
Cheers,
Elise

Hi Elise -
Great to hear from you. I didn’t know that you had lived here too. I guess I’m not alone in the things I miss about food back home. It’s almost enough to make me start cooking (which is saying something
).
Best,
Ray

Amen to missing Mexican food. I’m right there with you. If you want good pizza (or at least decent pizza without seafood on it), feel free to take a trip to Chiang Mai. We’ll hook you up

Sounds great!
Actually, we plan to visit sometime this year. It’s just right around the corner from us.
